I am a Romanian fan of Formula 1 and I am sending you this email to inform you about the Romanian F1 fans' protests against the F1 commentators of the Romanian national television TVR1. If I haven't send this email to the right address please forward it to the right one.

I believe that the Formula 1 governing body should be aware that in Romania, the current commentary done by Victor Bonifaciu and Dan Mihai Alexandrescu on the TVR1 national television is very unappreciated, their commentary is very damaging to Formula 1's popularity in Romania and everybody wants them to just go away. There are other commentators such as Arnold Cobilanschi, Antal Putinica, Adrian Cheltuitoru which are much better but are not used.
The current commentators, that have annoyed us for ages, are very dull, very unprofessional and provide a lot of bloopers. The lack of quality of their commentary has been discussed extensively on forums and blogs:

Their bloopers and unprofessionalism are also often ridiculed on a high rating television comedy show, "Cronica Carcotasilor" on "Prima" television.

Many Romanians prefer to watch F1 races on the German RTL although they don't understand German just so they get away from these dull incompetent two. I however am unlucky that my cable company doesn't provide RTL because I've also enjoyed watching F1 races on RTL much more than on TVR1, although I don't know the German language. I have attempted to search for online video or at least audio streams to watch Formula 1 on other televisions and I have watched the last race online on Speed TV, although the delay was significant and the image quality was bad; still it was a better choice. Me and others are desperately searching for ways of getting away from the annoying Romanian commentary.
Victor Bonifaciu and Dan Mihai Alexandrescu (also known as Miki Alexandrescu) have been doing the Romanian "commentary" for ages and although everybody is protesting against them and I am convinced that TVR1 is aware of the poor quality of their commentary and that they should normally be fired, they are being kept around probably because of groups of interests inside the TVR1. In terms of the Romanian F1 commentary, there is no democracy around here. And the fact that the whole population that owns a TV set is forced to pay a tax that entirely goes to TVR1 makes no difference, we are paying to get annoyed by these two commentators.

I am expecting that soon F1 will be broadcasted in HD and if it's going to be pay per view, I would be interested in doing that but by no means would I pay for anything if these 2 commentators would stick around and I'm sure that applies to many other Romanian F1 fans as well.

I believe that for the sake of Formula 1's popularity in Romania you should investigate this situation, I'm sure you would find out that TVR1 is severely damaging Formula 1's popularity in Romania by using these particular commentators. I am disappointed that you haven't already investigated the Romanian F1 watchers' feedback but I hope that at least now you will.

Please rescue us from these annoying comentators and let us enjoy F1 races in peace!

Voi nu ati observat ceva tipic romanesc la cele 2 petitii: gura mare, fapta ioc.
La una din ele au semnat 291 de oameni iar la a 2-a petitie 19.
Dati-mi voie sa va spun ca e ca si cum nu s-ar fi intamplat nimic. Aici in Germania exista mai multi care au ceva cu echipa de comentatori RTL sau Premiere decat au romanii cu cei 2 mascarici.

Intelegator de germana,ani trecuti asa monotona cum era cursa,tot ma tineau langa TV cu informatii pretioase...bine nu mai zic de interviurile live din padock...

Propunere:ceremTVR-ului (ca doar toti romanii , cu catel cu purcel sunt platitori de taxa tv)sa puna in timpul transmisiei o banda cu sms_urile trimise de spectatori cu privire la calitatea comentariilor.{o sursa suplimentara de venituri ca tot se plang ca n-au destule}

vad ca pe langa Dan "Mitoman" Alexandrescu, "dragul" nostru comentator mai are o porecla, Miki Lauda, pt. felul in care se tot lauda cu prieteniile lui...
in calificari colegul pieton se tot plangea "nu avem timpii, asta e un mare handicap al nostru". problema e ca alt handicap nu le permite sa descopere "live timing"...

Daca esti fan de Formula 1 si vrei sa-ti satisfaci aceasta mica placere duminicala, in Romania ai o problema. Palavrageala comentatorilor iti poate strica toata bucuria, oricat de frumos ar fi spectacolul pe circuit. Peroratii fara noima pentru a umple "timpul de antena", glume nesarate, amatorism in exprimare, eterne confuzii intre piloti, aberatii in jurul unor chestii straine de desfasurarea cursei, reclame mascate la vreun pilot care isi aude constant numele pe post, toate se aduna si cresc in urechile tale ca niste buruieni mucegaite si enervante de care nu mai poti sa scapi, in fiecare duminica de Mare Premiu.

Acum este timpul sa scrii ce te deranjeaza la comentariul de F1 de la TVR, iar parerea ta va fi trimisa conducerii postului national de televiziune. Scrie-ti opinia in formularul "Petitie TopGear pentru vizionarea Formulei 1 la TVR fara comentarii penibile" :

Exact.Pe Miki nu-l mai da jos decat Doamne -Doamne sau DNA-ul care ar trebui sa verifice modul de acordare a licentei de transmisie a curselor din F1

din fericire eram pe munte la ultima cursa asa ca am luat-o de pe net cu comentariu de la Speed si am putut in sfarsit sa ma concentrez pe cursa.

da pai mai nou ii facea observatie nea Miki lui Marinescu... cand nu incerca sa vada cu cine ii face vreo lipeala...
